The Narrator Skit is a simple skit that has little set up time, little preparation, and can have up to weeks of clean-up depending on the narrator. The general idea is having a main person, usually with a cool voice, as the narrator. Their job is to be the only person to speak throughout the skit and tell everyone else what to do.
Trimming The Fat – 5 Pointers in Planning for Youth Ministers
As I start my new ministry I have been training myself to think about ways I can best equip the youth ministers and volunteers from around the Diocese. Through prayer I have really been pointed towards this idea of trimming the fat. As youth ministers we want to give our youth the best and provide [...]
Setting Up Online Event Registrations For Youth Ministry Events
I have put on well over 100 events in my life that required youth to turn in registration forms and often payments. I know what you go through each time; setting up deadlines and not following them, keeping track of everything in a spreadsheet or Word document, and last but not least, trying to keep [...]
Arcade Cowboy Youth Ministry Skit
This is a youth ministry skit that really has no major theme and can be used just for fun. It has been a hit every time we use it and those who have seen it several times still seem to find it funny.
Lifesaver Pass
This youth ministry game is a favorite and very simple. Buy some lifesavers and toothpicks. All of the youth are given a toothpick and put in to teams with even numbers and each team is given a lifesaver. Have all of the teams stand in a line. When the youth leader says go, the youth [...]
Race This by Simply Youth Ministry – Ministry Review!
This is my first real review for actual youth ministry resources from other companies. I recently used the Race This Volume #2 for part of our summer camp. It worked out great. What Is It? In a nutshell each disc comes with 10 different games. We use them on the big screen and have kids [...]
Youth Group Fundraiser – The JAIL!
This youth group fundraiser has been the most profitable and most consistent fundraiser that we did at our parish. It is also a great fundraiser that involves both youth and adults. Some of the elders in the parish were not necessarily to fond of it, but that never stopped us from doing it. The concept [...]
Coke Relay #1

We have done tons of different versions of coke relays, but this is definitely the one that has stuck out as the best. This youth group relay is extremely messy but something the youth will definitely remember. Give each group a 6 pack or 12 pack of coke and a pen. Have a pitcher or [...]
Stack-O-Cups Relay
Supplies Needed – Lots of Plastic Cups. 15-20 of one color per team and one of another color per team. This is a quick and easy youth ministry game that can be used as a relay or if you have a smaller group can be done with everyone against everyone. I actually got this idea [...]
Bonkers – Best Youth Camp Game Ever!

I have been involved in our Diocesan summer camp now for about 14 years. As a youth, a volunteer, and now the coordinator of the camp, this is always the favorite.
