Youth Ministry Fundraising 101 – Part 3 of 4 – What To Plan
Well now it’s time. My goal with this post is not to give you practical fundraisers and my top 10 list of money makers, but to open your mind up a bit to think outside the box and be creative with your fundraising. Some of the best fundraisers I have seen in different parishes have come from original ideas that were thought of out of the gifts of the youth ministry program and the rest of the parish, so this post will hopefully help you think about that a bit more.
Youth Ministry Fundraising 101 – Part 2 of 4 – Priorities
Next you will want to set up some priorities you have while fundraising. This is your teaching time to those who may not understand completely. They and you are involved in ministry to minister to youth, not to fundraise. Hand out a sheet a paper and have them write out benefits of doing fundraisers with the youth. Then you will have them share with each other the things they wrote down. Then have everyone prioritize the benefits in order of most important to least important to them.
